These are our neighbors, coworkers, and friends—people who earn too much to qualify for Medicaid but not enough to afford private insurance. 👉 You can be part of the solution. Cover Georgia is hiring Coverage Captains—trusted, local leaders who will build support for Medicaid expansion in their own communities. As a Captain, you’ll: ✔️ Host local events ✔️ Connect organizations to the coalition ✔️ Share the message that every Georgian deserves access to health care 💼 This is a paid, part-time role (approx. 15 hrs/month) with full training and support provided. 📍 We’re currently recruiting in: • Dalton • Tifton • Houston County • Whitfield County ❤️ If you’re passionate about your community and ready to help close Georgia’s coverage gap, this is your chance to make a difference!

This will help ensure Georgians get the mental health care they need, with the same access and urgency as care for a physical health concern. This is a positive step toward ensuring insurers follow the rules so families can get the care they need when it matters most.

The earliest years of life are critical for brain development, and stable access to care ensures little ones get the routine checkups, immunizations, developmental screenings, and early interventions they need to thrive. Continuous coverage also reduces the strain on state agencies by cutting down on unnecessary paperwork.
