Georgians will soon have a new centralized dashboard to report issues with insurance coverage for mental health care claims under the state’s mental health parity law. The new site, to be monitored by the nonprofit Georgians for a Healthy Future, is set to launch as top state officials urge more progress on enforcing Georgia’s Mental Health Parity Act.

The Carter Center will host the 2026 Mental Health Parity Day by the Georgia State Capitol. This public event will engage a diverse group of stakeholders in Georgia to discuss how to advance implementation of the bipartisan Mental Health Parity Act passed in April 2022. Parity Day will include a free public event for mental health stakeholders, legislators, and leadership from several state agencies from 10:00 a.m.-12:15 p.m. at Central Presbyterian Church (breakfast included).
